Case Study
Bia Energy · Brand Strategy, Identity, Digital Platform, Photography
From blank brief to national launch — brand strategy, identity, and digital platform for Ireland's largest anaerobic digestion plant.
/ The Challenge
Bia Energy arrived with no brand, no identity, and no public presence. Entering a competitive clean energy market with a powerful commercial story, the challenge was to build a visual and verbal identity from scratch — one that balanced credibility and innovation without tipping into corporate blandness or greenwashing.
The brand had to work in a hi-vis jacket, on a conference stage, and in a B2B sales conversation — simultaneously.
/ The Solution
The engagement opened with user persona research and a semi-fictional archetype model to map Bia Energy's B2B audience — demographics, psychographics, and decision-making behaviours. This fed a structured discovery workshop covering voice, values, and market positioning. Identity work began only once that foundation was in place.
I led the full creative direction from that point — designing every element of the brand: identity system, digital platform, marketing collateral, launch materials, and event production. I also shot all photography and video for the project, including aerial drone footage.
/ What I Delivered
A full-lifecycle engagement — I held creative ownership across every layer of Bia Energy's public presence, from initial strategy through to launch week.
The website was built on a bespoke WordPress theme — no templates, no shortcuts. The carbon offset calculator was designed as a functional B2B sales tool, giving prospective clients a way to model their own energy savings directly in the browser.
